The statutes of the Community of Communes Capcir - Haut Conflent provide: "the elimination and recovery of household waste and similar waste."

Some achievements

Establishment of waste collection center Capcir

Following the establishment of jurisdiction, Elimination and recovery of waste, the syndicate Capcir - Haut Conflent and the Community of Communes, have created a waste collection center near the existing landfill. Cost of operation: 450 000 € TTC. With 20% aid of the state. This waste collection center is open to all residents Capcir and Garrotxes, including Les Angles (partnership agreement).
For waste collection center in Haut Conflent (The communes of La Cabanasse, Mont Louis, Planes, St-Pierre-dels-Forcats and Sauto), the Community of  Communes work in agreement with the municipality of Bolquère to allow a service closer.

Rehabilitation of the landfill Capcir and creation of a new disposal site for inert waste

Works started in 2009, completion planned before summer 2010.
Cost of operation: € 618,000 excluding VAT. Aid € 285,000 (State / ADEME / Region LR / Department PO and Sydetom).
