You go from Olette or over the Col de la Llosa, into the unknown valley of Garrotxes to reach this village and enjoy a magnificent view over the valleys and Canigou.

A small spring of warm sulphurous water gave the village its name, a laundry in the village also profits from the water flow. Aygautebia has a beautiful Romanesque church, St Felix. The town has two villages, one of Cabrils and  Talau which has the Romanesque church of St Etienne.

Just below the village, a charming small mill completely rebuilt between 2006 and 2012 with the favour and the efforts of many volunteers from the association "Garrotxes Conflent."
